The Online Missions Trip officially launches

After months of brainstorming, praying and vision-casting, the Online Missions Trip is ready to launch! I can’t believe it! Woo hoo!!

If you haven’t checked out the video about what this trip is all about, that would be a good place to start. Also make sure you join our Facebook group to meet and interact with others who are going on this trip with you.

We’ll be using this blog to keep you updated on new resources that are added, updates about the trip, cool God-stories that people have to share about the trip, and more, so make sure you subscribe either by email or RSS (both found in the right sidebar of this blog).

As we get started, what questions do you have about this missions trip? Post them in the comments below and I’ll answer them as best I can.

Looking forward to sharing Christ with all of you! (But remember, you don’t have to wait until February 1, 2009, to get started!)

I’m so excited about this project. But what will excite me even more is knowing all the students and leaders taking part in this mission trip will continue to carry it on in their everyday life, not just for a one week mission trip.

Hey Tim I love the idea. I was wondering, is it open to use any time of the year, or can we only do it Feb 1-14? We’re doing some stuff on outreach in April, and I’d love to use some of this then. We have our year pretty much booked each September, so if you’re doing this again in 2010 please let us know earlier.

@Chad: You are absolutely free to take your group on this missions trip whenever you’d like. Next year the dates will be announced much earlier. This year was just tough because it’s the first time and the idea just kinda popped up without much time to pull it together. Sorry!
